Power of Attorney is needed acccording to German civil law

According to German law a duly signed valid Power of Attorney has to be attached to the collection letter in order to formally prove and certify the representation by the law office. The document will therefore prove that the authority granted to the lawyer had been properly conferred by his client and includes the right to represent him as well as to collect the payments due by the debtor.

The certificate of power of attorney must be signed by the client.

Without this power of attorney the debtor is entitled to reject the claim.
